If you have a legal copy...you are already registered with the Norton Website and you have received your updates for the last 12 months.

All you have to do is to open your Norton program and click on "Renew". You will be taken to the website where you will be asked for your credit card. Your subscription to updates will be renewed for 12 months and cost about half the price of buying the new version.

Or you have to go to the shop and buy a new version.

The only bad things about updates is that if you need to re-install Norton because you had to re-format... bought a new hard disk or new computer... you will need to re-download all those updates since you bought the original program. Because of this, I buy the CD every 2 or 3 years.

You have not mentioned which version of Norton anti-virus you use. I once used Norton System Works 2005; there was a 'Symantec Live Update' option in it. If you have got that, then click it and then download the updates available. :-)
