Go to the START menu and go to the PROGRAMS section. Look for a folder named Norton Antivirus. If it is there, then click on the Norton Antivirus icon and see if it comes up. (otherwise, you don't have it)

If this is a fairly new computer, then you might have a 90 trial version. Try to activate it. But when it expires, go to a store and Buy the disk. Look for Norton Antivirus, the plain version. The Internet Security edition is way too slow.

When installed an operating, Norton Antivirus shows a small icon near the Clock. Right Click and pick OPEN. Check the status regularly, since a virus attack might KILL it. Run the updates and scans regularly to be sure that you are safe.
