Go to the website of your AV provider and download the tool to remove the virus. Follow the directions and remove the virus. Symantec will scan your machine for free. So will Trend Micro and others. Once the virus is gone, disconnect from the Internet and delete the AV programs. Put your CD in and reinstall the software. Once in you will have to reconnect to activate. Have your "activation key" available or the software will not work. If this happens, buy a new CD and install from there.
