Whats the best antivirus, everything considered?

All things considered, the safest and most user-friednly virus protection software has got to be Symantec AntiVirus (or Norton Antivirus). It will cost you some jingle but its well worth it to keep your computer in tip-top shape. I know a couple computer buffs who live by it.

free antivirus program normally can only detect but unable to remove the infected files. else it is not strong enough and they might be a virus themselves.... if really got such a good free program... the companies like norton, trends.. can just close down.

if it is becos of cost($$) you are looking for a free software.. i recommend you to try Cyber Scrub Antivirus. it comes with a 5 years subscription fee waived, you need not renew its license yearly for 5 years with just one year cost.

Nod32

Voted the best AV program of 2006

The fastest AV program I've ever run (%26 I've run a lot)

Does not slow your computer down (like AVG).

Take's up very little of your hard drive.

There is more.................Just try it.........Then your know.
To some extent it depends on your needs. For a free antivirus Avast www.avast.com is the most efficient with a high detection rate. AVG has a low detection rate but it is fast and uses very little system resources. In other words, it won't slow down your computer.
