I think he answer for this is to update your virus definition. Usually when AVG finds a virus but can't remove it, it's caused by outdated virus definition.

To download the latest virus definition, you can either use the automatic update feature on the software or visit www.grisoft.com (AVG main site) and click on the download link. You'll eventually be brought to the download page where you can download the latest virus definition.

The first method is preferred because it's easier and less hassle for the average user.
