I do know norton and mcafee ones are resource hoarders, they always run so many different processes.

they are too bloated esp. the newer version

The best ones are the free ones like avg
EWIDO ANTI MALWARE ITS FREE FOR FIFTEEN DAYS AND IT WORKS WITH ANY OTHER PROGRAM YOU HAVE
AVG .... not only is it free, but it doesn't slow your system down like Norton.
AVG Free Edition. I have had it for about a yr now and it is the best one I have seen by far. It will catch every virus that your computer will attract if any.
Avast pro 4.7 is one of the best i have used and it is free
I think u should use NOD32, 'Cause it is small size and very efficient and very cheap.

There are allot to choose from and you need to take into consideration that the most known anti-virus programs like Norton anti-virus and McAfee will get hit with more viruses. The anti-virus program that i use is called Panda and i haven't had a problem with it. Panda alerts me to everything and i have been using it for about 4 years.
