Somebody put xp antivirus 2008 on my comp now it pops up all the time wanting me to buy it.?

I can't delete it from my add/delete files cause I do not see it. What is this and how can I get rid of it? It isn't a virus is it?

its more along the lines of spywarebut if you click it i believe you do end up with a virus cause it isn't a real program. run the most in depth scan your anti virus can run and get a adware remover. you can get spybot search %26 destroy for free also if your using norton or macafee then get AVG or Avast they are free and far better
back up your files, and reinstall the operating system on your computer..before you put back your files, install and update your anti virus software
