I just installed an antivirus and pop-up blocker but I still have so many pop-ups....?

As soon as I turn on the computer it goes crazy with the pop-ups. I dont want to pay 100 bucks for the geek-squad. how can i fix this? thanks.

Download Spybot Search %26 Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/ and Ad-Aware http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ then run them. They are both free and great to have.

Also, Download AVG Free http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/ and download Firefox http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ it has a built in pop-up blocker so you don't need those crappy downloaded pop-up blockers that add junk onto your computer.

I run all 4 of these programs and have never had a problem with my computer (going on 4 years now.)

You can scan your computer for free and they remove it for free.
Do a complete anti spyware scan.

After you download and run Adaware, and Spybot, depending on what Adaware finds, you may need to re-install your O/S. What you have your system is most likely Spyware. Spyware does not simply "get" onto your computer, you have to have installed some trial software, or temporary game etc..
