I can only tell you that there is not a single antivirus in the world that is perfect, paid nor free. Nod32 is a decent antivirus software. I can only tell you that it has a very good reputation, which indirectly tells that Nod32 is a good antivirus (BUT IT IS NOT PERFECT AND SO DO OTHER ANTIVIRUS).

Ans it is build in assembler, which means that there's a minimum of system resources needed. I use it for some time now and I'm very satisfied.
