Freeware Firewall and Antivirus, are there GOOD ones that WORK?

Hi!

My subscription to 2004 Norton Internet Security runs out in a few weeks. I actually have 2007 Norton Internet Security. I had to install it on someone els'es FAST running system. When I did...I couldn't beleive how SLOW it ran after that!! I do NOT plan on installing 2007 NIS on my computer! I'm thinking of not renewing my subscription to NIS 2004.

SO....are there any Freeware Firewalls, AND Antivurus programs that actually WORK???
