Nobody says you have to have it. =) If you feel like it's not doing anything for you, take it off your computer. Just don't say I didn't warn you.
Although antivirus software costs alot, it really does protect your computer from viruses, and alerts you if it tracts and identifies a problem
I do not use any antivirus ,anti spyware, ect- unless you count havin a mac as "antivirus"
Do I like AV S/W? Well, Yes- beeing as I've done 1/2 dozen installs this past week, its nice to know I won't see these machines for awhile. Rumor has it that Macs remain impervious. I wonder....
