If Norton will not remove your prob you can download TROJAN REMOVER from www.simplysup.com and do a scan. The program is free for 30 days. Well worth a try and it will fix everything it finds.
Update the anti-virus, then run a scan in safe mode. (Tap F8 at start up) Then run a scan and remove the spyware with Norton. To get outta safe mode, Start%26gt;Run%26gt;msconfig%26gt;Boot tab%26gt;Uncheck safe mode
When you do a scan go to "fix the problem" and it will do it automatically.
There should be a function within Norton to fix this for you.
I have had this problem norton never got rid of it so I had to do it manualy by going into it they are normaly in documents and settings or program files look to see what the report tells you then you can delete it hope this helps sos don't rate norton at all
Ad-Aware 2007 Free http://www.lavasoft.de/ Download this program, update along with your antivirus %26 disable system restore.Reboot in safe mode %26 scan with both programs.Delete or quarantine anything found.Reboot as normal %26 run both scans again. If the system is clean you may re-enable system restore. It should be noted that Trackware falls int the spyware catergory %26 although Norton antivirus may detect %26 warn it may not be able to remove, hence the dual approach recommendation. The disabling of system resore is also often overlooked %26 is an essential part of the process of complete elimination.Good luck!!
The programme should highlight the items, and there should be a button to press which allows the system to fix the problem.
